Computer Science is ubiquitous in everyday life, as in research. The field of investigation extends from information theory to big data. The core of computing has two sides. First the “machine” side with architecture, chips, calculation, and performance. And, on the other side, the languages (objects, real time, synchronous, formal, etc.) directly related to the algorithmics, code, programming, compilation, cryptography and verification; on the periphery, we can mention learning, speech, control, bioinformatics, robots and autonomous vehicles as well as everything related to the web. Because of the Internet, Computer Science can not exclude from its field the social uses of the web and networks, distance education and medicine, search engines, advertising, etc.
Computer Science is a very broad field that has a lot of interactions at the borders with other fields, while keeping in our books, the point of view and the approach of computer scientists.
