This book explores ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for radio frequency identification (RFID).
RFID is one of the fastest growing sectors in radio technology. RFID systems were initially developed to overcome the limitations of barcodes in terms of spatial constraints, by using antennas and electromagnetic waves. Recently, RFID has also been used to develop smart autonomous sensors, enhancing the capabilities beyond identification. UWB is used in this book as an alternative radio technology for RFID-enabled wireless sensors, further adding easy time domain localization possibilities to industry, logistics, medicine and other fields.
