The ISTE Scientific Committee brings together some well-known academic personalities who have tremendous interest in the international dissemination of research carried out in laboratories, mainly in France and French-speaking countries. It is chaired by Jean-Charles Pomerol, former president of the largest scientific university in France, and meets at least once a year.<\/p>\n
The Scientific Committee advises on the scientific directions of the series, on the creation or abandonment of certain subjects, and on the search for scientific coordinators of sets or of the fields and subjects of the SCIENCES encyclopedia.<\/p>\n
Finally, the opinions of members of the Committee are sought on ISTE\u2019s major strategic issues: extending to languages other than English, launch of new series, digital publishing and OpenScience journals.<\/p>\n
